چکیده

Discharge of untreated wastewater is one the major problems in various countries. The use azo dyes textile industries are key xenobiotic compounds which effect both soil and water ecosystems result drastic on microbial communities. Orathupalayam dam, constructed over Noyyal river Tamil Nadu, India has become a sink from nearby industries. present study had aimed to characterize bacterial diversity community profiles collected vicinity dam (DS) allied agricultural field (ALS) catchment area. dehydrogenase cellulase activities were significantly lower DS compared ALS. Additionally, long-term exposure dye resulted higher relative abundance Saccharibacteria (36.4%) important for degradation dyes. On other hand, Proteobacteria (25.4%) Interestingly, (15.2%) also prominent ALS suggesting that might have deposited through irrigation. Hence, this revealed potential phyla can be drivers designing viable technologies

Biodegradation of textile azo-dyes byPhanerochaete chrysosporium.

Of 18 commercially used textile dyes, eight were degraded by the white rot fungus,Phanerochaete chrysosporium, by 40 to 73% based on decrease of colour. Both the lignin-degrading enzyme system ofP. chrysosporium and adsorption to its cell mass were involved in the degradation of the diazo dye, Reactofix Gold Yellow. Degradation was best achieved by adding the dye to the medium and then inoculat...

Treatment of Simulated Textile Wastewater Containing Reactive Azo Dyes Using Laboratory Scale Trickling Filter

The present study was conducted to evaluate the potential applicability of biological trickling filter system for the treatment of simulated textile wastewater containing reactive azo dyes with bacterial consortium under non-sterile conditions. The percentage decolorization for the treatment of wastewater containing structurally different dyes was found to be higher than 95% in all trials. The ...

Treatment of artificial wastewater containing two azo textile dyes by vertical-flow constructed wetlands

The release of untreated dye textile wastewater into receiving streams is unacceptable not only for aesthetic reasons and its negative impacts on aquatic life but also because numerous dyes are toxic and carcinogenic to humans. Strategies, as of now, used for treating textile wastewaters have technical and economical restrictions. The greater part of the physico-chemical methods, which are used...

Decolorization of dyes from textile wastewater by Trametes versicolor.

The white rot fungus Trametes versicolor was applied to the decolourisation of three synthetic textile dyes in the presence and absence of glucose. Different initial dye concentrations were tested and approximately 97% decolourisation was achieved. It was found that fungal metabolism induced by the glucose as well as the pH play an important role in the decolourisation process. This treatment w...
